Edmund is an experienced General and Colorectal Surgeon with expertise across the full spectrum of digestive health. Edmund provides comprehensive care including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, keyhole surgery for gallbladder, bowel and hernia conditions, as well as the management of skin lesions, abdominal and digestive disorders, and anal conditions.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Edmund moved to New Zealand with his family in 2020 after many years as a Consultant Gastrointestinal Surgeon and Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University. He completed his medical degree in London before undertaking specialist surgical training, a research doctorate in bowel disease, and advanced fellowship training in abdominal and pelvic cancer surgery.
Alongside his clinical practice, Edmund is actively involved in surgical education and research, with more than 100 peer-reviewed publications. In 2019, he was recognised as the British Silver Scalpel Surgeon of the Year.
