Patricia Henry is a gastroenterologist with specialty in irritable bowel syndrome, liver and pancreas disease, biliary disease, and obesity medicine. Patricia graduated medical school at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in the USA and went on to complete her internal medicine and specialist training in Gastroenterology at Robert Wood Johnson, Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey.
Before relocating to Aotearoa New Zealand, Patricia practiced for eleven years at the Carle Digestive Health Institute in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois and served as faculty for the Carle Illinois College of Medicine at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she developed and taught curriculum for digestion for medical students. Additionally, Patricia established a weight loss clinic for the Digestive Health Institute following her certification in Obesity Medicine.
Patricia moved to New Zealand with her family in 2024, and served as a consultant physician at Waikato Hospital before moving to Christchurch.
